As an LA Native, only good food and good music could lure me out to Hollywood on a Tuesday night, and a couple Tuesdays ago (March 24) Michael Edwards took the stage with Blitz Nation and 2 other phenomenal powerhouse vocalists, Josafina and Tyler Christian.

The air was electric with anticipation as I made my way to a hidden gem that felt like a portal to another world, Boardner's in Hollywood.

Every last Tuesday of the month, Blitz Nation brings together some of the city's most talented singers and musicians for a night packed with energy, passion, and unforgettable performances. Soul crooner and songwriter Michael Edwards, show-stopping phenom Josafina, and the virtuosic Tyler Christian took the stage and left the crowd buzzing with excitement.

Blitz Nation is a collective of top-tier live musicians, wedding bands, and event bands based in Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco, also expanding their reach further throughout the state and nation. Their mission is to provide unforgettable music experiences, and their monthly showcase at Boardner's delivers that and more.

The March 24 event was a perfect example of what makes these showcases stellar. Michael Edwards, Josafina, and Tyler Christian each brought their unique vocal styles and stage presence, captivating the audience from start to finish.

Josephine showcased her powerful range and emotional depth, especially on classic favs she stamped with her originality. Tyler Christian energized and excited the crowd with his dynamic range and fierce ability to connect with the audience.

The band rocked hits from Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Montell Jordan, even Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” and Ginuwine's "Pony" along with every favorite song across households and decades kept the dance floor pulsating all night. When all was said and done, the audience chanted for an encore.
